African American History Month

The medal was presented at the African American History Month presentation. The location was at Lincoln Charter School which is a school in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. The award is a white circle medal with black stars trimming the outside. In the inside of the circle is a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. Also, in the middle of the metal in black letters at the top states, “I Have a Dream" and Martin Luther King 1968 in cursive font. At the bottom of the circle states, "I Am the Dream" 2008 and Barack Obama. The circle medal is attached to a red, green, and black ribbon.
