Abstract

Gilford worked with Art in Woodbridge to commission several public art pieces around the Woodbridge neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. In 2018, three public paintings were installed on exterior walls of houses. This is one of the three paintings. It depicts a wild hog biting a rattlesnake, a callback to Detroit's Belle Isle park teeming with wild hogs to keep the rattlesnake population at bay.
