Description

A dark brown commemorative postage stamp marking the 50th anniversary of the Confederation (1867-1917) at the Quebec conference. In the center is an image of the "fathers of confederation" gathered in the style of a 19th century painting. To the right and left are listed the price value of 3 Canadian cents. To either side is also a maple leaf emblem and a flame. Above is written, in English, "Canada Postage Three cents" and below "Confederation". In the upper corners are the dates: 1867 and 1917. The stamp was printed with steel engraving.
