Description

Acrylic paint on paper. The center of the painting features a large arch shaped golden yellow bee hive. Above and to the left of the hive is a bee in profile. She has two heart shaped white wings, a black head, four black legs, and two black antennae. Her body is oval in shape and is yellow with three black stripes. The black paint on the stripes has been diluted by the yellow and is instead a grayish color. Below and to the right of the hive is another bee we can see from a top down viewpoint. This bee is facing the hive as if flying towards it. The bee is constructed just like the other bee. The background is a stippling of green, white, and yellow paint. Yellow is featured predominantly in the top left, bottom left and center, and middle top. The surface of the painting is matte.
