Description

Acrylic paint on paper. The subject of the painting is a green, black, white, and yellow luna moth. Moth can be seen top down, tilted diagonally so the head is facing the top left hand corner and wingtips are pointed to the bottom right. The moth has two yellow leaf like antennae on its head, a pale yellow body, and four bright green wings, two per side. Each wing has a black and yellow eye-like spot. The moth's bottom wings have a long fin like shape coming out of the bottom. The background is a pale pink with white brush strokes. The white radiates from the moth and fades to pink as it moves out. Left top and left bottom edge are also more white than pink. In some places pencil lines can be seen through the paint. The surface of the painting is matte.
