Subject

Acrylic painting -- Color
Painting--Abstract--United States--21st century

Description

Acrylic paint on canvas wood block. Colors including shades of pink, blue, purple, and metallic silver, are scattered across the canvas. Colors pink, blue, and purple bleed together in random gradients, separated by metallic silver bands of color. These bands create a vague rounded frame with stacked layers in the center, topped off with a single vertical line. There is no clear subject. The surface of the canvas is a mixture of matte and shimmer. It is bumpy and rough in texture due to multiple layers of paint. Thick bands of paint create deep ridges that follow the flow of paint. Three hairline cracks can be seen at the bottom right.
