Description

Black and white pencil sketch of the inside of a school bus, looking toward the driver at the front of the bus. Immediately in the foreground, and stretching most of the width of the paper, is the back of a school bus bench-style seat. Beyond that are the controls for the bus, the windshield, various mirrors and pillars, the bus driver, etc. The bus driver is a large female clad in a tee shirt, with messy, curly hair pulled back in a bun. Her back is to the observer. The artist has signed her name in the bottom, right-hand corner: J. Gillett. The picture is on light-medium weight, somewhat translucent sketch paper from a spiral bound sketch pad, and tabs are all still present on the side where the paper was removed from the pad. There is a crease in the paper across the bottom right corner of the drawing, near the artist's name.
