A small plastic bag containing metal wire leaders. These pieces of wire are intended to create an unbreakable zone between your fishing line and lure, being tied onto the end of the line and clipped onto the lure. These leaders are primarily used for fishing with heavy baits when targeting large toothy fish like Northern Pike or Muskellunge. While these species can easily slice through a standard monofilament or braided line, the thin but tough metal wire prevents them from cutting through. Although these leaders provide needed protection, they come at the cost of making the lure more visible and less natural in the water.
