This black and white photograph show Beacon Boulevard in Grand Haven, Michigan under construction. The foreground of the photograph shows one side of the paved highway. In the background on the left there are utility poles following the highway, and there are some houses and trees beyond the utility poles. In the background on the left there is the sand and dirt filled median and the other side of the highway can be seen. To the right of that side of the highway in the background are some houses. There are some automobiles in the far distance of the background.
