Description
A still-life of a vase of pink and white peonies painted with with loose, gestural brushstrokes and green leaves and stems in a tall, narrow blue vase at the center of the composition. The background and tabletop are rendered in saturated hues of yellows, oranges, and reds with visible, expressive brushwork that creates a textured, painterly surface. The composition is simple and centrally focused, emphasizing the contrast between the dark blue vase and the luminous, warm background. The bottom right corner of the painting is dated "7-68" and signed "Chris Lauckner."
