Background information: This portrait mural serves as a memorial for Detroit-area artist Jordan "Tead" Vaughn, who passed away after a fall in 2017. The "If you don't get it, this isn't for you" quote is featured on 12ozProphet, a website dedicated to street art and graffiti. Artist Eno Laget (real name Ray Stanczak) earned a 2019 Stencil Art Prize finalist spot for another iteration of this work, which has been painted in other locations in addition to the one pictured here. ]]>
