Subject

Mural painting and decoration, American--Michigan--Detroit--21st century.
Cultural pluralism.
Belonging (Social psychology)

Description

Black and white abstract mural with lots of wavy lines, stripes, and polka dots. Some of the shapes seem to be animals or objects from nature. This black and white abstract mural incorporates lot of representational elements like a snake and a bird. The appearance of a lack of cohesiveness of the various elements is designed by McGee to demonstrate ideas like community and togetherness by using shapes that appear distinct and different.
