"Whitney Houston" is the debut studio album by American recording artist Whitney Houston (b. 1963 - 2012) released on February 14, 1985 by Arista Records, Inc. The album features three Billboard number one singles: "Saving All My Love for You"; "How Will I Know"; and "Greatest Love of All". "Whitney Houston" was nominated for four Grammys and won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Saving All My Love for You". The album peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and number one on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

The 14"x14" vinyl cover features a portrait of Houston, in nature, shot by American photographer Garry Gross (b. 1937 - 2010) on the front. Gross is also credited with photographing the back cover, a full body image of Houston in a white bathing suit. The back cover also features track listing, personnel and acknowledgements.
