From the left to right side of the wall when viewed: a suspension bridge, identified as the Ambassador Bridge in red letters set on a bright yellow "sign" painted atop the black bridge components, goes over a body of water (the Detroit River). Beneath the arc of the bridge are yellow upright rectangles set against a flat gray background suggest windows of lighted rooms at night. Next to the bridge on the bottom is a collection of people on the Windsor, Ontario side of the river on a dock fishing. Across the water the skyline of the city of Detroit can be seen. Several Detroit institutions are shown, including the Renaissance Center and a sign for Faygo. Two boats float on the river. A crescent moon is seen near the top just left of the mural's center, while a pink sky at the right suggests the rising of the sun. A yellow sun with an orange contour is present at the right, and its reflection appears on the river's surface.
