Description
Russell's Riddles is a 40-card game manufactured by Russell Manufacturing Company in the 1950s and reprinted in the 1970s as a part of their Laff 'N Learn card game line. There not much information about Russell Manufacturing Company. due its dissolution in 1990. It was in Leicester, Massachusetts and produced card games for all ages. In 1970, they filed to trademark “Laff ‘N Learn” for their Laff ‘N Learn line of children’s card games.
This game can be played alone or with others. It consists of announcing a riddle to the other players and seeing if they can guess the answer. Alternatively, the players can create their own riddles using the suggestions found on the instruction insert. There is no winner or loser.
The deck contains 40 playable cards and 1 instruction insert. The instruction insert is printed front and back on mint green paper. It provides suggestions on how to create 4 types of riddles. The playable riddle cards consist of 6 riddles against a white background. An illustration may be found beneath and is depicting one of the riddles on the card. Each card has the answers on the back. The back is bright blue and may contain another illustration or tips regarding the types of riddles on the cards.
