Subject

Plants, Potted.
Succulent Plants.

Description

This plant is called a holiday cactus. It has green rectangular-shaped leaf segments. Each leaf has 4 to 6 barbs on the edge of the leaf. It is planted in a 6-inch painted terra-cotta pot. This is a popular succulent that will blossom around thanksgiving with pink blooms. This particular plant typically blooms around Halloween and Easter and has pinker leaf segments because it has been very sun-stressed over the years. Therefore, this plant was moved to a spot with lower light which works better for this plant. It also enjoys being watered more frequently than other succulents (like every 3 weeks rather than once a month).

The first image with the white background was taken on March 13, 2023, the second image is the same plant and was taken on May 15, 2022, on the table in front of a south window where it usually lives now.
