"My Cabbages!": An Avatar the Last Airbender Collection

This collection is comprised of a series of items all of which are connected to Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, and The Legend of Kyoshi—The first two being popular children’s TV shows, the third being a young adult book series. Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated TV series that originally aired from 2005 to 2008. The Legend of Korra is the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender that originally aired from 2012 to 2014. The Legend of Kyoshi is a spinoff book series of which the first book was published in 2019. This topical theme is what connects the various items in this collection together. Items for the collection were selected based on the following parameters: that they pertain to either of the two Avatar TV series or the book series in regard to their content and that they belong to Leah Bruce, who is the personal owner of all the items. This selection of items comprises the entirety of Ms. Bruce’s collection of Avatar items. An avid, lifelong fan of the Avatar franchise and universe, the goal of this collection is to provide a snapshot of the items an individual may have accumulated if also a fan of these two shows in the early 21st century, like Ms. Bruce. This collection shows the prominence of the original two TV series and how their popularity led them to foray into other cultural areas besides TV including video games, graphic novels, the Kyoshi books series, and more.
